MAGICAL MYSTERY
TOUR
(G)(1967) starring, written & directed by The Beatles |
| |
|
|
The Beatles first film since "Help" was largely Paul McCartney's arthouse film project. The story follows a bus load of eccentric characters on a magic "trip" through the English countryside. Rather than a unified narrative, it becomes a series of psychedelic experiences to classic Beatles songs... "The Fool on the Hill", "Blue Jay Way", "Flying", "Your Mother Should Know", "I Am the Walrus" and "Magical Mystery Tour". An inspiration for Monty Python, The Goodies and many filmmakers, music video producers and comedy troupes ever since... Roll Up! Roll Up!

Discover John...the angry youth, the musician, the radical, the husband, the father, the lover, the idealist...through his own words and personal collection of film and music...
This "biography" evolved from around nearly 240 hours of film and videotape fortuitously taken by Lennon throughout his life. The archive footage is transformed into a fascinating life story of one of the most complex and fascinating men of the modern music era. This effort includes a 36-song soundtrack with some very personal and insightful footage, never before made available to the public and rarely ever seen on the big screen... Don't miss this special screening!
